Ian Young is a highly regarded manufacturing industry educator with over 20 years experience working in a range of enterprise development and manufacturing capability improvement roles.
He has led the implementation of significant manufacturing excellence initiatives with a wide range of Australian manufacturers.
With a background ranging from trade qualifications and engineering degree, to post graduate and adult learning qualifications, Ian combines a practical and academic approach to learning.
Ian has developed and facilitated a range of in-house manufacturing excellence programs. As founder of the South Australian Centre for Manufacturing’s College, he created a range of enterprise improvement programs in a public ‘self-help’ workshop format.
Ian has been a board member and Vice President of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) Australia region.
